Established in 1984 in the heart of the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan by founders Tim Greening and Glenn Rowley who led the first expedition-style treks to K2 and started a company called the Karakoram Experience (hence 'KE').
Small group walking and trekking holidays throughout the Himalaya followed shortly after … and before long, walking, cycling, multi-active, wildlife and family adventures throughout the world, all led by expert KE leaders.
In 2018 Self-Guided walking and cycling holidays were introduced, offering a greater degree of flexibility and freedom to those who prefer to travel at their own pace.
Possessing a sense of adventure and a love of the outdoors, which is experienced in the surrounding fells of their base in Keswick in the Lake District at every opportunity, sustainability is at the core of their business ethos and values and reflected in the holidays they operate.
The KE Adventure program currently offers approximately 400 Guided and Self-Guided trips in 100 countries, ranging from leisurely walking and cycling, through to tough multi-day treks or rides in some of the world's most remote and rugged wilderness areas. Something for everyone, all abilities or levels of fitness covered.
